Accessible Transport
The Foundation is able to help residents of the London Boroughs of Richmond and Kingston suffering from any medical condition that renders conventional transport either inaccessible or inappropriate.
One specially adapted fifteen seater bus can provide an elderly, frail or medically infirm person with the opportunity to leave their home and continue life as part of the community. It can take groups of very disabled young people on special and memorable days out, providing stimulation for them and much needed respite for their carers.
Without it, the quality of life for many residents – both young and old – would be vastly reduced.
The Foundation has partnered RAKAT (Richmond and Kingston Accessible Transport) in addressing this area, but will also consider applications from individuals and other local organisations.
